Jacqueline Hargrave was born in South Jersey and was raised in Haddonfield where she graduated from Haddonfield Memorial High School. Post high school she set her sights on Washington, DC, earning a BA from Catholic University in Education Studies with a minor in Counseling. Jacqueline spent 13 years in the Washington, DC area and Richmond, Virginia first working in fundraising/sponsorship development in higher education and non-profits. She left higher education in 2007 to partner with a friend as small business consultants and had the pleasure of working with clients in the restaurant industry and automotive industry. Unfortunately, the crash of 2008 devastated the majority of Richmond business and put an end to something she truly enjoyed.
In 2009 Jacqueline found her way back to South Jersey! She eventually joined her father’s law firm as a client manager and assisted him with various aspects of running the business. She was truly passionate about helping people through the legal process of filing and successfully concluding bankruptcy cases. When Jacqueline’s father closed the firm in 2016, after a successful 40-year run, Jacqueline chose to become a realtor. She loved the idea of helping people through the significant and emotional process of buying or selling a home or commercial property. And she was excited about having the opportunity to run her own business.
Jacqueline was introduced to the idea of becoming a business broker by Ellen McDowell, a successful attorney and owner of McDowell Law in Maple Shade. She realized business brokering truly aligns with her passion for helping people successfully navigate significant life decisions. Jacqueline is thrilled to have the opportunities to educate business owners on how they can profit from their life’s work rather than retiring and closing shop as she has witnessed many businesses do. Very few business owners are aware that they have favorable options if they don’t naturally have someone to pass on their business. Jacqueline looks forward to helping people add meaning and money to their lives through the sale, purchase, or expansion of their business.
